Web CommentaryGeorge Proctor was a gifted musician and friend of Isabella Stewart Gardner. He taught piano at the New England Conservatory, where he also performed. Isabella likely attended this recital with her friend, artist Louis Kronberg, who sketched George Proctor at the pianoforte playing Chopin. She saved the program and displayed it in the Musicians Case in the Yellow Room.
