Web CommentaryThis program records the musical performances which took place at the opening of Fenway Court, the name used for the Museum during Isabella Stewart Gardner’s lifetime, on 1 January 1903. The second piece performed was the overture of The Magic Flute, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — an opera that was especially beloved by Isabella.
