Not on viewWeb CommentaryProduced in Mechelen, Belgium, this late 18th century flounce is possibly from an alb. The bobbin lace was intricately designed with flowers and a crest. Mechlin lace is considered the most famous of Flemish laces, and was used in women’s clothing until the early 20th century.
