ProvenanceNotesOn August 16, 1899, Mrs. Gardner bought 30 balustrades: 'Balustra pietra lunga m.10.50' of Francesco Dorigo, Venice, for 3000 lire less 5%. The invoice lists it as 'Balaustrata con pilastri e colonette'.
