Web CommentaryThis pair of wall tables represents the Venetian Rococo in the sensuous curves seen on nearly every profile. While relying on Loius XV models, they reflect a spontaneous adaptation of French forms and decoration. The original blue paint can be seen in areas where the varnish has chipped off. With age, the varnish has made the light blue paint seem greener than was originally intended.
