Guido Boggiani

A pupil of F. Carcano, Guido Boggiani started exhibiting in 1883 with Collecting Chestnuts (Rome) and Perils of Saint Anne, Olive Trees at Francheville-sur-Mer, Path near Lago Maggiore and Villages (Venice, 1887), and a monumental painting entitled Quies (Milan, 1894). He travelled to South America and brought back a number of landscapes that were exhibited in Rome in 1894 and in Turin in 1898. Boggiani was a robust colourist whose original landscapes are held in generally high regard.
