s. U. M. and Margaret T. (Gibbs) R.; moved to Little Rock, Ark., with parents in 1865, and has resided there ever since; m. Marion Kimball, May 2, 1882; children—Clarence Edward, Miriam (dec.). Admitted to bar, 1879, and since in practice at Little Rock; mem. Rose, Loughborough, Dobyns & House. Has traveled much in the study of Renaissance art. Author: Renaissance Masters—Art of Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, Correggio, Botticelli, Rubens and Claude Lorraine, 1898, 1900, 1908; The World’s Leading Painters, 1911; also numerous articles in revs. on lit. and art. Mem. Am. Bar Assn., Ark. State Bar Assn. (pres. 1902-03), Little Rock Bar Assn. (pres. 1923-24), Internat. Law Assn., Am. Law Inst., Judicature Soc., Conf. on Uniform State Laws.
