Louisa Cutler Ward Crawford Terry
A sister of Julia Ward Howe, who wrote the words to "The Battle Hymn of the Republic", 1861.
Her first husband was the famous American sculptor, Thomas Gibson Crawford, who died on October 10, 1857. His bronze "Freedom" is atop the dome of the U.S. Capitol.
She was the mother of the novelist, Francis Marion Crawford.
On September 21, 1861, in Rome, Italy, she married the noted painter, Luther Terry.
