Grafton Dulany Cushing

The Cushings’ unmarried son, Grafton Dulany Cushing, continued to live with them. He was a lawyer and in 1915 would become Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts.
Grafton Cushing continued to live at 168 Beacon until 1908, when he moved to 20 Chestnut.

"Grafton Dulany Cushing (1864-1939), a Boston attorney, in 1905 ran for election to the Massachusetts House of Representatives on the Republican ticket. He served in that body until 1914, as speaker during his last three years. In 1915 he held the office of lieutenant governor."
