Niiro Chunosuke

sculptor/medallist; carver; goldsmith/metalworker

Restorer of artworks, specialising in sculptures. One of the pupils of Okakura Tenshin. Graduated from the Tokyo School of Fine Arts, and became its assistant professor. When Okakura left the Tokyo School of Fine Arts, he followed him and joined the Japan Art Institute (Nihon bijutsu in).
