Biography

Print publisher and printseller, originally frame maker. Recorded by Maxted from 1781. According to Musgrave's Obituary, died 23 December 1794. Stock sold at auction, Hutchings, 20/21 May 1795. Two trade cards in Banks Collection (Banks,32.4 and D,2.3401) advertise "Birchall, Carver, Gilder and Printseller... N.B. German-Glasses for Large prints & Drawings." The cards are identical except for colour, D,2.3401 is printed in red ink, the other card in black ink.
