Frank Gair Macomber was a collector and a donor to Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
Life:
Macomber owned several works by JW including a watercolour, Blue and Silver: The Thames m0875; Study for the Head of Miss Cicely H. Alexander y128; two etchings; a pastel r.: Two Standing Figures; v.: Figure m0464 and one other pastel (letter from Macomber's daughter Isabella Macomber Lyman to Frederick W. Coburn, 8 November 1945, GUL, MS Revillon 2/64/2). He was also a collector of tapestries and armour. The sale of his collection took place at the American Art Association, New York on 10-12 December 1936.
