BiographyEdith M Howes was born in 1855 to Captain Osborne Howes and wife Abby Howes. She attended art schools in Boston and the New York Art Students League. She listed herself as an artist in the 1920 census. She was also a published illustrator and a member of the Boston Art Club. At the club's 1893 exhibit she entered three pieces : " A New England Interior", " An August Garden" and "Green Pastures"
