Biography...daughter of an Austrian nobleman, studied horticulture in England. She came to America in 1912 when she married architect Charles Wilkins Short Jr. With such close ties to England, Camilla Short watched intently as her friends there assumed important roles in the war effort. As a woman trained in horticulture.
