BiographyBorn 15.06.1829 - Death 28.03.1885. Born in Vadsø, d. In Haugesund. Son of the writer Johan Henrik C. and Hanne Sofie Manthley, g. 23.6.1867 in Tønsberg with Bolette Ullitz (1836-89), daughter of Jørgen Christian U. and Barbara Johanne Fugl. Cand.pharm.1857, then managing at Grimstad pharmacy and at the Elephant Pharmacy in Christiania 1857-64. From 1864 to 1868 he worked as a photographer in Christiania. Leased Sandefjord Pharmacy 1868-74 and Haugesund Pharmacy from 1874 until his death in 1885.
