Biography:
FRATICELLI, Peter. - Dentist, born in Florence on Dec. 16, 1803, and died there on December 18, 1866. He studied literature and mathematics in the Pious Schools, was bookseller and printer, and later acquired fame in studies, academic bran. As well as significant scientific knowledge (such as to fill treated arithmetic and algebra), was mainly the merit of contributing to the renewed study of Dante publishing the minor works of Dante (1st ed., Florence 1834-39) with notes and dissertations not unhappy about that time, a review of the Divine Comedy reprinted several times from 1860 onwards, and a history of the life of Dante Alighieri (Florence 1861) with reliability information and new research.
