Admitted to R.I. bar, 1850; abandoned law to become an illustrator; drawings appeared in many mags.; illustrated numerous books including Potiphar Papers (G. W. Curtis), 1853, Autocrat of the Breakfast Table (Oliver W. Holmes), 1858; other publs. include Hay Fever, 1873, A Fashionable Sufferer, 1883, Two Compton Boys, 1885. Author: (anonymous romance) Married for Fun, 1885. Death: Died Flushing, L.I., N.Y., Apr. 1, 1896.
