Gustav Pollak, editor and author, who was a contributor to the Evening Post, In New York, and the Nation, for 40 years, died on Saturday at the home ot bis daughter, Mrs. Paul J. Sachs, 136 Irving street, nt the age of 70 years. He was iborn In Vienna, Austria. His former home In New York city was with his eon at 135 West Eighty-seventh street. Mr. Pollak In 1884 -was editor of Babyhood. He assisted In editing four encyclopaedias, including the New Internaajtial, Nlelson's. nnd Apple/ton*. He was the nuthor of "Fifty Years of American Idealism" and other books. In 1892 ho was one ot the founders of the Cerin.'ui American Reform union. Cambridge Chronicle, 8 November 1919
