Susan H. Bradley
1851 - 1929
Susan Hinckley Greenough Bradley was a landscape painter whose subject matter was wide ranging geographically including Egypt, Greece, Tunisia, Italy, Switzerland, France and Ireland, and the United States including the West. According to a Boston newspaper, she painted "mountains of western Canada and of Colorado, the Grand Canôn in Arizona, the streets of New York, and the shores of Massachusetts and Maine." (Kovinick 27) In 1939, for the 50th Anniversary of the Boston Society of Watercolor Painters, she exhibited a painting, On the Divide, Santa Fe; and in 1911 at the Artists' Club of Denver, her entry was Grand Canon in Winter.
