Note: Perugino was active in Perugia, Florence and Rome in the late 15th and early 16th centuries. He is known for developments in painting style transitional from the early Renaissance to the High Renaissance. He was the teacher of the famous artist, Raphael. He developed a compositional stye combining Florentine figures with Umbrian structure and space; Raphael adopted it and it became popular throughout Europe.
